Founder
Artist R. S. Babu
R. S. Babu has developed a sustained artistic practice over several decades, participating in exhibitions and group shows that have taken his work from Kerala to major Indian art centres and international art platforms. His exhibition history reflects an engagement with contemporary painting, nature, time, human existence, and the changing relationship between people and their surroundings. Babu's artistic journey began with formal training in creative painting and collage. Over the years, his work has been presented through different exhibition platforms, allowing him to engage with audiences, fellow artists, curators and collectors. His artistic practice has been described as particularly attentive to the passage of time and the processes of change in nature. In discussions of his work, natural elements such as fallen branches, roots and the effects of termites become metaphors through which he explores transformation, decay, continuity and renewal. His work therefore extends beyond a straightforward representation of nature and considers the larger forces that shape life and existence.
